Infuse your black tea at 100°C. You should put about 12-15 grams of tea in a tea strainer for one liter of water. This corresponds to about 4 heaped teaspoons. Allow your black tea to steep for 3-5 minutes before removing the tea strainer from the water.

You can infuse the tea once. With a can of tea that is filled with 100g, you can prepare about 65 cups of black tea.

You can also put your brewed tea in the fridge after it has finished steeping so you can drink it as a healthy iced tea.

Additional Information

The Indian black tea Assam is an Assam blend from the largest contiguous tea-growing region in the world in Assam in north-east India. The harvest time is usually between March and November/December. The Assam tea is red-brown in the cup and has a full-bodied, strong-spicy taste.

Cinnamon is said to have a positive effect on drowsiness and heavy menstrual bleeding. Cinnamon is also good for breathing difficulties and feverish illnesses. Cinnamon is also used to lower blood sugar levels and is good for bloating, flatulence and spasmodic gastrointestinal complaints.

According to Hildegard von Bingen, ginger helps against gastric and intestinal colic and can also be used to prevent motion sickness. It is also good for the respiratory tract and can also be used for eye diseases.

Anise is commonly given to children for bloating and colic, although caraway and fennel are the stronger remedies here. Anise is also a good cough medicine, and is sometimes used in some cultures as an aphrodisiac or to stimulate menstrual bleeding.

According to Hildegard von Bingen, licorice helps against hoarseness and gastrointestinal diseases, especially stomach ulcers. Licorice is often processed into liquorice. Licorice is said to have an anti-inflammatory effect and is therefore good for coughs and diseases of the upper respiratory tract, but also for gastritis and stomach pain. In East Asia, liquorice is sometimes even used to treat hepatitis.

Cardamom is mainly used to treat flatulence, stomach pain and spasmodic conditions in the digestive tract. In folk medicine, it also plays a role in vomiting during pregnancy, diarrhea with vomiting, bad breath and masking the smell of alcohol. Cardamom is said to generally beautify the voice and is used as an aphrodisiac in some cultures. Cardamom seeds are particularly important in Ayurveda medicine. Cardamom is also cooling, is used for fever and as an expectorant for coughs. It helps against vomiting, bad breath and flatulence.

Black pepper is good for colds and digestive problems, it also has anti-inflammatory and digestive properties.

Of course, like all the tea in the B.Tealy Collection, this tea is also certified organic, according to DE-ÖKO-039.
