Green tea – premium organic jasmine Chung Hao from Fujian, China – delicately sweet taste, light green in the cup, was originally reserved for the imperial court, still one of the best Chinese green teas.

An excellent Chinese green tea at a truly imperial level.

Preparation

Infuse your green tea at 80°C. You should put about 12-15 grams of tea in a tea strainer for one liter of water. This corresponds to about 4 heaped teaspoons. Allow your green tea to steep for 2-3 minutes before removing the tea strainer from the water.

You can infuse the tea 2-3 times. I.e. with a can of tea that is filled with 65g, you can prepare about 85 cups of green tea.

The good thing about your tea is that you can also brew it cold as cold brew tea. The dosage is similar, but you have to steep the tea in cold water for 30-60 minutes. This is a refreshing alternative, especially for the warm summer months.

You can also put your brewed tea in the fridge after it has finished steeping. So you can drink it as a healthy iced tea.

Our Imperial Jasmine is a Chinese green tea, Jasmine Chung Hao. The tea is usually harvested in May, and jasmine blossoms in late summer. Jasmine Chung Hao was initially reserved for the Chinese imperial court and was only allowed to be cultivated for commercial purposes relatively late.

The jasmine Chung Hao is light green in the cup and has a wonderfully delicate, sweet floral jasmine note in the taste. The tea gets its jasmine note from being covered with fresh jasmine flowers up to 7 times. The tea absorbs the aroma of the jasmine blossoms without them coming into the infusion. This also distinguishes a high-class jasmine tea like Chung Hao from simple jasmine teas, which are often mixed directly with jasmine blossoms.

Of course, like all our teas, this tea is also an organic certified tea according to DE-ÖKO-039.
