The Unique Experience

Oolong Tea – Premium Organic Broken Oolong Tea from China (Formosa Fine Oolong), special semi-fermented tea in the Chinese Oolong tradition with a sweet, strong note.

Diverse aroma and a health-promoting effect.

Preparation

Infuse your oolong tea at 80°C. You should put about 12-15 grams of tea in a tea strainer for one liter of water. This corresponds to about 4 heaped teaspoons. Allow your oolong tea to steep for 2-4 minutes before removing the tea strainer from the water.

You can infuse the tea 2-3 times. With a can of tea that is filled with 55g, you can prepare about 70 cups of oolong tea.

The good thing about your tea is that you can also brew it cold as cold brew tea. The dosage is similar, but you have to steep the tea in cold water for 30-60 minutes. This is a refreshing alternative, especially for the warm summer months.

You can also put your brewed tea in the fridge after it has finished steeping so you can drink it as a healthy iced tea.

Additional Information

Oolong is a semi-fermented tea. After picking, the leaves are laid out to dry. Then milled and finally partially fermented. The outer leaf edges are already brown, but the leaf remains green on the inside.

The process of fermentation is stopped by drying the leaves very hot and quickly. This creates a "bready" taste. Oolong is often made from special highland teas that are not suitable for full fermentation.

A distinction is also made between green oolongs (fermented only for a very short time) and fermented oolongs, here the infusion is brown. The greener the tea, the higher quality and more expensive the respective oolong.

Of course, like all the tea in the B.Tealy Collection, this tea is also certified organic, according to DE-ÖKO-039.
